CMoR’s Summer Series kicks off this weekend

On select weekends in July and August CMoR Central and CMoR Chesterfield will host some seriously fun events–all free with museum admission.

The Children’s Museum of Richmond’s Summer Series returns this weekend to wow RVA’s littlest citizens. But this year they’ve taken things up a notch by sharing the love with CMoR’s Chesterfield branch.

On select weekends in July and August CMoR Central and CMoR Chesterfield will host some seriously fun events, all free with museum admission. And they’ve kept it really simple: on those select weekends, CMoR Central gets the events on Saturdays while CMoR Chesterfield gets them on Sunday.

Check out the schedule below–looks like there’s something for everyone.

Down on the Farm Day

Which is more exciting: meeting Miss Virginia or petting a baby calf? I guess you’ll just have to see for yourself.

July 13th at Central and July 14th at Chesterfield
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Spider-man and Friends

Spidey teams up with Thor, Iron Man, and The Hulk to take on the Green Goblin (recommended for ages 4 and up). Get there early or expect a loooooong wait.

July 20th at Central and July 21st at Chesterfield
Shows at 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM

Moonbounce Mania

Not just one moonbounce…we’re talking mulitple moonbounces. Good naps are pretty much guaranteed.

July 27th at Central and July 28th at Chesterfield
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Special Live Performances

This is the only time where CMoR switches things up a bit. Central will be treated to a performance of Babar by the Richmond Chamber Players, while Chesterfield will rock out with The Diggity Dudes.

August 3rd at Central and August 4th at Chesterfield
11:00 AM (Chesterfield gets a bonus show at 1:00 PM)

Super Hero and Princess Day

Come with a cape or crown. Or both!

August 10th at Central and August 11th at Chesterfield
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

CMoR Central is located at 2626 W. Broad Street. CMoR Chesterfield is at 6629 Lake Harbour Drive in the Winterpock Crossing Shopping Center. Admission to both museums is $8 for ages one and up (members get in free).
