Advent LOLs, part two

There’s only one week left until Christmas, but there are still plenty of LOLs to be had. Last week featured a couple of comics, awe-inspiring scenes from space, and of course cats. Catch up on everything you missed here.

There’s only one week left until Christmas, but there are still plenty of LOLs to be had. Last week featured a couple of comics, awe-inspiring scenes from space, and of course cats. Tune in to twitter this week for the grand finale of our Advent LOL calendar.

Note: If you want to achieve full LOLability, consume this week’s article with last week’s (consumers consume at their own risk).

12. Hobo Lobo of Hamelin

Javascript nerds and fans of comics, sit in awe of this amazing parallax-style comic! You’ve probably seen this effect before, but nothing like this. NOTHING I SAY.

13. The Most Intense Depiction Of Charlie Brown Ever

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is one of my favorite comics. Author/illustrator, Zach Weiner, updates the comic every single day with great jokes about science, math, sex, religion, and graphs (yes, graphs). This one features just about the most intense depiction of Charlie Brown you’ve ever seen.

14. Plink

This thing is hard to describe in words. It’s, like, an online, multiplayer, music generation, simuluator…thing. Whatever it is, it’s is totally worth trying out. Just make sure you don’t have anything pressing to do in the next ten minutes–you might get sucked in.

15. Yay water!

Actually, no, screw you water.

16. 364 MPH remote controlled plane

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever built? I guarantee that it was slower than this remote controlled jet that clocked in at 364 MPH (also, it was probably not as cool either). Got the hankering to build one over the holiday break? No problem! It’ll only cost you $2,500.

17. COBRA CAT

Just when you thought that you could escape without watching a cat video, BAM, I hit you with COBRA CAT. Two things about this video: 1) cats are weird, 2) hat tip to Randy from Lamb of God. Seriously.

18. Why are we all here, ya know?

Nothing is cooler than space, not even COBRA CATS. So for this week’s “why are we all here, ya know?” moment, I give you this incredible time-lapse video shot from the International Space Station. Earth is a wild place!
