Top 10 Moments of Celebrity Riff Raff 2k7 – Part Two

The Hoff, two Spears girls, and that girl who was famous for about ten minutes for being stupid round out the top ten celeb moments of 2k7.

It’s New Year’s Eve and what better way to ring in ’08 than picking up where we left off last week to go over 5 more moment of celebrity hilarity/insanity? None, that’s what.

6. David Hasselhoff breathes like a fat kid and cusses out his daughter.

While this video approaches the uncomfortable and incredibly sad, you can’t deny that it was a publicity powerhouse for The Hoff. It almost makes up for his appearance in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. Almost.

7. Caitlin Upton does little to dispel the rumor that Southerners are stupid.

Obviously I’m using the term “celebrity” loosely here, because Ms. Upton is only famous for demonstrating her lack of knowing things at the Miss Teen USA pageant this August. But, if Paris Hilton can be famous for being famous, this girl can be famous for being unintelligent. And for making such a fool of herself that even Mario Lopez felt sorry for her. I must thank her, though. Calling it “The Iraq” and referring to myself as a “US American” are both still hilarious.

8. Britney lets opportunity pass her by.

I had high hopes for Britney’s performance at VMAs in September. I made sure I was watching when she opened the show, and I was convinced for the majority of her performance that her zombie-like state was all for show. That any second she would bust it out into what would be a legendary comeback. As the seconds passed, and I saw that the only bit of enthusiasm she showed was when she grabbed the crotch of one of her dancers, I realized she might be beyond repair…and grooming efforts.

9. Mutts & Moms hates little girls.

The amount of attention this story got still baffles the mind, but the absurdity of it all earns it a spot on this list. Back in October, Ellen DeGeneres found a new home for a puppy she had adopted, much to the chagrin of the organization who first rescued him. And then the world went cukoo as Ellen herself used time on her show to address the matter AND THEN people spent precious energy issuing death threats to those behind the puppy repossessing.

And last but not least, perhaps the most OMG! moment of the year, saved until the end, just like a special Christmas gift…

10. Jamie Lynn Spears disappoints multiple generations.

I had big dreams for Spears the Younger. She seemed to always wear underwear, and showers looked to be part of her daily routine. And after seeing everything her sister went through, Jamie Lynn was sure to catch on and steer clear of Britneyesque antics. Well, not only did she not steer clear, she one-upped Britney by becoming both an unwed AND a teenage mother-to-be. I bet (and kind of hope) K-Fed will get custody of this one, too.

There you have it, folks. I hope you enjoyed this flashback into the ridiculous glory that was 2007. At the very least, I’m sure it made you feel a little bit better about yourself.
