RICHMONDECISION ’08. We are now legit.

Guys, RVANews is so The Real Deal now. We’re teaming up with the lovely folks over at Style Weekly to do some live blogging during their mayoral forum series, RICHMONDECISION ’08.

The first session is Tuesday, September 23rd with a discussion on The Future of Downtown. Included in our first blogging lineup…

John “Mr. Downtown Master Plan” Sarvay of Buttermilk and Molasses

Ross Catrow of RVANews, RVAblogs, etc. etc. we know you love the Internet.

The Guy Who Writes For Tobacco Avenue (Apparently he’s ok with us using his real name, but I prefer that moniker myself.)

The main event starts at 6:00pm, so be sure to tune into our Op/Ed section then. And be ready to hit refresh a lot – the discussion is sure to be stellar.

  1. I think I like the nickname “Stickman” better.

  2. Considering that local mainstream media uses indigenous resident’s blogs to get story ideas, I think this site (& it’s neighborhood satellite cites) has already proved it’s legitimacy. This is just further proof of it.

I personally would rather have Savay telling it to me straight than having Gene Cox reading cue cards to me.

  3. Sorry I spelled your name wrong, John. Please forgive me…

    legit? to who?

  5. Too legit to quit. In true Richmond blog style, a debate breaks out about the most straightforward of postings! I love it. We’re happy to be collaborating with you guys.

  6. I would engage nameless acts with Bopst just to have Gene Cox read cue cards to me. I mean, if “read cue cards” means what I think it means…
