SPORTS! Wahoos win
- The #2 University of Virginia Cavaliers upset #1 Akron to win the men’s soccer national championship. UVa beat Akron 3-2 on penalty kicks. This is UVa sixth national championship and first since 1994.
- [vuu]VUU[/vuu] picked up a rare road win last night and crushed Shippenburg University 74-58. VUU is 5-5 in 2008 and off until next year!
- The [fs]Flying Squirrels[/fs] are having a “name the mascot contest” over at the RTD. Winner gets a personal appearance of the mascot at their home (!) and a 20 person picnic at a game.
- [rk]Jordan Evans[/rk], who played on the UVa national championship team this weekend, is a former Richmond Kicker’s Youth.
