2013 i.e.* Start-Up Competition
Next week, 14 fledgling companies will make their cases to be named RVA’s best start-up, vying for a $10,000 prize in the 2013 i.e.* Start-Up Competition. The winner will also receive free IT strategy and implementation worth $3,500, six months of free office space at New Richmond Ventures, and mentorship from 804RVA.
Members of each company will pitch their business to a panel of judges at a public event on Tuesday, April 16th at Richmond CenterStage. Audience members will cast votes for the People’s Choice Award, which carries with it a $2,500 cash prize.
So, what do these companies do? We asked founders to describe how their businesses began, what their business does, and how they’d spend the $10,000 prize.
