Senator Webb announced that GRTC will receive $2.3 Million in federal DOT money towards the construction of the new bus administrative and maintenance facility in Richmond.
The current GRTC facility in the Fan (which has housed the GRTC for 100 years) will be shuttered and re-developed. GRTC hopes to play a role in said re-development, partially to maintain a revenue stream from the land for years to come.
