USL profile of Kickers new attacker Sunny Jane

Sunny comes to Richmond hoping a change of teams can lead to better results on the field.

The Richmond Kickers offense was anemic during crucial stretches of last season. They hope to turn that around with addition of Sunny Jane. Jane who is 24 has played two years for Wilmington Hammerheads in the USL and earned four caps with the Lesotho national team.

Jane moved to the states when he was 13 and was very successful with University of Maryland which earned him a No. 10-rated recruit in the nation. He played in 89 games for the Terrapins, and notched eight goals and 19 assists.

From the USL article:

After an underwhelming 2015 for Wilmington Hammerheads FC, attacking midfielder Sunny Jane wanted to make a fresh start in the new year.

After an offseason move to the Richmond Kickers, the 24-year-old Lesotho international believes he has found just the right place to accomplish that.

“I always liked the way Richmond plays, and everything,” Jane said recently. “They have a good style of play, and I had heard good things about Richmond. When I was in college at the University of Maryland, Richmond was one of the teams we played in the preseason, and I always liked the way they play. I like the area a lot as well, so it was an easy decision for me to make.”
