Monument 10k results

Over 36,000 people took part in the 15th annual Ukrop’s Monument 10k on Saturday.

Over 36,000 people took part in Saturday’s 15th annual Ukrop’s Monument 10kdespite the rain.

For the first time ever, the Monument 10k hosted the Collegiate Running Association 10k Road Race National Championships, which brought nearly 1,400 college students to the city.

Because both the Monument Avenue 10k and the Collegiate Running Association 10k were combined into one race event, several of the top finishers for the Collegiate Running Association 10k race also topped the Monument 10k results.

Full results are available here.

UNC-Greensboro student Paul Chelimo, 23, claimed first place in both races for the men. Chelimo was the runner-up in the 5,000m at the 2012 and 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
