The show will go on!
February 5, 2010
RVAJazzfest will happen! Yes, the weather is treacherous and schools and businesses around the area are all closing. However, after much deliberation, we’ve decided that the show will go on regardless of Saturday’s weather.
You may recall that our featured performer is trombonist Ray Anderson, who will be flying into Richmond from New York City. We’re hoping for the best, but we will have the final update tomorrow. In the event that flights into RIC are canceled and Anderson can’t get here, RVAJazzfest will proceed.
We hope this won’t deter you — if you can pass the snow — from enjoying a night of fine Richmond music.
In case you need to be caught up on all of the RVAJazzfest info that has been going up in the RVAJazzfest Guide in the past two weeks, look no further.

I was looking forward to this but had to travel out of town to work restoration for the storm. Given how hard core the Camel’s been in the winter snow, I think this will be the show to keep its word…the last two “we are definitely not cancelling”s I saw were for GRTC service last weekend (which got cancelled) and the Triple show tonight (which got cancelled).
