VCU police to run checkpoint near Monroe Park
Checkpoint will be active Saturday night into Sunday morning.
If you’re going out this weekend drinking to celebrate the contributions and achievements of American workers be sure and either have a designated driver or take a cab.
The Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint this weekend. Officers will be checking drivers’ licenses and registrations.
The checkpoint will be operational on the 700 block of West Main Street, near Monroe Park, from 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, to 3 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31. Law enforcement officers from the Richmond Police Department, Virginia State Police and Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control will assist.
