Details emerge about fatal March shooting at Exxon on Jahnke

At a hearing in which Brandon L. Jackson was denied bond, prosecutor Traci Miller said Pamela-Ann Knyazher, 19, had just bolted from a drug deal without paying when Jackson shot her as she ran back to a waiting vehicle.

Charges Placed in Jahnke Road Homicide

Richmond Police Department detectives have placed charges on a Henrico man in connection to a homicide that occurred on Jahnke Road in March.

Detectives placed charges on Brandon L. Jackson, 26, of the 7500 block of Edgewood Avenue, Henrico. Charges include second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and willfully discharging a firearm in a public place.

Jackson is currently incarcerated in a facility outside the city on unrelated charges. A recent photo is not yet available.

At approximately 5:09 p.m. Saturday, March 14, officers were called to the Exxon Station at 1601 Jahnke Road for the report of a shooting.

They located Pamela-Ann Kynazher, 19, of the 12000 block of Burnside Lane, Henrico, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

Detectives say at approximately 5:09 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the Exxon Station at 6101 Jahnke Road by several callers who reported seeing shots being fired at a young woman during a dispute. They located the victim, a 19 year old white female lying in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Chippenham Hospital where she died early Sunday morning.

The suspect is described as a thin, young, dark-skinned black male wearing a white tee-shirt. He fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

Police are investigating a shooting Saturday night of a female outside a South Richmond gas station.

The incident occurred about 7 p.m. in a parking lot outside an Exxon station in the 6100 block of Jahnke Road.

The victim was taken to Chippenham Hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound and was undergoing surgery, authorities said.

Police were looking for two men who left the area in a small dark-colored SUV, possibly a Kia, with a chrome grille, said Police Chief Alfred Durham.

The motive for the shooting was unknown.
