Good morning, RVA! It’s 65 °F, and today’s jam looks pretty similar to yesterday’s. The highs could hit 80 °F, some cloudage will persist throughout the day, and there’s a slight chance of rain. Overall, things look perfectly pleasant.

Oh look, the ballpark debate is hilariously back in the news. Hooray? I guess? Now Mayor Jones wants to tie development of the Shockoe Stadium to a regional children’s hospital on the Boulevard–hoping to flip 3rd District Councilman Chris Hilbert to support his plan. So far this plan includes: a stadium, a slavery heritage site, a revamped farmers’ market, a grocery store and hotel, and, now, a children’s hospital. Up next: the return of Richmond’s trolley system as part of the package!

The Great Byron Marshall Mystery of 2014 continues. The city has been sued “to force the release of documents related to the recent departure of former chief administrative officer .”

More beer is headed to the Scott’s Addition area as developer Charlie Diradour expands his kingdom up the Boulevard. Coming soon to the plot of land directly north of En Su Boca: a Starbucks and a “Growlers to Go.” The latter will attempt to keep 55 beers on tap, which seems like a heckuva feat.

The CDC announced that a man in Dallas has been diagnosed with Ebola, the first case ever diagnosed in America. The release from the CDC, which you should read, is measured and assures us that they’ve got everything under control. Still, I’m regretting my decision to start reading The Stand.
