Good morning, RVA! It’s 73 °F, cloudy, and there’s a slow-moving storm plowing through the region this morning. This afternoon also brings a chance of scattered showers (and maybe some thunderstorms) while temperatures stick around the mid-80s.

Speaking of weather, we could sure use the rain, assuming it falls this morning and/or afternoon. WTVR has a nice map from the NOAA showing rainfall deficits across the commonwealth. You probably didn’t need a map to tell about the dry and crispy state of your lawn.

Yesterday was the 45th anniversary of the first manned moon landing. Related, check out Buzz Aldrin taking a space selfie on a Gemini 12 mission in 1966. “BEST SELFIE EVER” he says.

• Squirrels finished the series with Harrisburg 3-1, travel to Akron tonight at 7:05 PM.
• Kickers blank Charleston Battery, 4-0.
• Nats went 2-1 against the Brewers, head to Denver to take on the Rockies at 8:40 PM.

Two Couples, One Mortgage

Yes, all four of us are on the deed and, yes, we share the 30-year mortgage and food and maintenance expenses. No, there’s no division of the house into separate sections. And no, all four of us are not all having sex with each other. (Why do many people assume that if adults are willing to share a kitchen, they probably also want to share a bed?) We are just two couples who plan to live together and raise children in one household, hopefully for decades.
