Disc Golf, Wildflowers, Fish, and Butterflies – The Bryan Park Nature Center has a class for you

A great chance to learn something new and enjoy our park.

These are the upcoming Nature Center Classes at the Bryan Park Nature Center. Most classes start at 10:30 AM and end at noon.

July 19 Disc Golf: This wonderful sport can be played in a part of Joseph Bryan Park that most visitors do not experience! Come find out how to play and learn about the special discs used to cover specific parts of the course. (You’ll be surrounded by nature!)

August 9 Wildflowers: Our speaker will bring an assortment of native wildflowers, provide information on pollinators they attract, and which are larvae host plants. More information on the habitat pollinators prefer will also be given.

August 16 Gone Fishin’: Need help in tying a fishing knot? Or which lure should be used when fishing for a particular species of fish? Why is cast and release a good idea? Come find out some of the basics of fishing!

August 23 Butterflies: Find out things you never knew about our beautiful and interesting native butterflies! Discover how they change from creepy crawlers to winged wonders. Learn the two types of plants they must have, and how you can invite butterflies into your own yard!
