Church Hill Better Block project
Two blocks were transformed for two days. This video shows you what happened.
On June 13 and 14, 2014, Richmond, Virginia held its first Better Block project sponsored by Sports Backers, Bon Secours, the Richmond Association of REALTORS, Capital One, DaVita, and a number of other community stakeholders. The two blocks on either side of N 25th Street and Venable St in Church Hill North/Union Hill were temporarily transformed into a neighborhood destination, complete with pop-up businesses, a protected bike lane, parklets, pallet benches, and plaza with the help of community volunteers and residents.
