Carjacking, 7-11 robbing Chesterfield man arrested this morning

The mini crime spree started around 5:17 yesterday and wrapped up with an arrest at 3:00 AM this morning.

Damon Pierce of Chesterfield had a busy evening/morning. Starting with a carjacking of a taxicabm, moving on to 2 7-11 robberies, car chase, car crash, fleeing on feet from police, and wrapping it up with an arrest. The weapon that is suspected to have been used was a BB gun that was recovered from the vehicle.

Richmond Police have arrested a Chesterfield man for a robbery and carjacking that occurred yesterday and commercial robberies that occurred this morning.

At approximately 5:17 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the 2000 block of Stockton Street for a report of a male with a handgun who robbed a cab driver and stole the taxi vehicle. The cab was later recovered in the 2700 block of Hull Street.

At approximately 1:35 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2525 Broad Rock Boulevard for a report of a robbery. An employee reported a male with a handgun robbed the business.

At approximately 3 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2001 W. Broad St. for a report of a robbery. An employee reported a male with a handgun robbed the business and fled in a silver SUV.

Moments later, Third Precinct officers spotted the suspect vehicle southbound on South Meadow Street and attempted to pull it over. A short distance away the vehicle lost control in the 1500 block of Kansas Avenue and the driver fled on foot. Officers quickly made an arrest. A BB gun was recovered from the vehicle.

Damon L. Pierce, 33, of the 4900 block of Sheppards Mill Drive, Chesterfield, has been charged with several counts of robbery and carjacking. His photo is attached.
