Three Notch’d Brewing Company announces plans for Scott’s Addition brewery

The Charlottesville brewery will open a brewery and taproom at the corner of West Broad Street and Altamont Avenue.

Charlottesville-based Three Notch’d Brewing Company announced plans Tuesday to open a new brewery and taproom in Richmond and, more specifically, the increasingly beer-filled Scott’s Addition neighborhood.

From Three Notch’d Brewing Company:

We’re excited to officially announce plans for a new brewery and taproom in Richmond, Virginia early next year. The concept will be “Collab House” as we plan to brew beers with restaurants, bottle shops, musicians, and community orgs to showcase the rich culture of this lively city. Join the team! Our job search begins with two full time positions: Head Brewer and Taproom Manager.

The company is leasing a portion of the forthcoming Gather coworking space under development on West Broad Street at Altamont Avenue. Three Notch’d takes its name from the former moniker of Three Chopt Road, which runs from Richmond to Charlottesville and beyond, and was once a Native American trail and then a major thoroughfare through the Commonwealth during Colonial times.
