Liner Notes:
As longtime listeners of the Bopst Show can duly attest, I love audio clips of celebrities in compromising moments. This show features two. First is Ozzy Osbourne singing, “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” and the second is a way left field interview with James Brown right after he got popped for crack cocaine. Best of all, these segments are heard within the first 4 minutes of this week’s podcast as I always like to start off these shows with something funny before the music kicks in. It lightens the mood.

Lots of good tunes this week (at least I think so). I added some funny business to the Public Image Limited instrumental that I think turned out pretty good though I’ll leave that to you to decide. Believe it or not, but there was a time when John Rotten’s post-Sex Pistols project was worth listening to and far more interesting than his more well known group. Sadly, Rotten has sucked (at least musically) longer than he has been good. It is a common affliction.

New audio sensations from Sexual Harassment, General Elekritks and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings are in the mix with timeless classics from Dick Curless, Tony Allen, Pat Travers & many others. I think this is the first show I’ve done here without any reggae in it. I don’t know how that happened as I listen to Jamaican music on a daily basis. I hope that omission doesn’t upset anyone. If it does, I’m sorry.

Despite the change in stride, it is my sincerest hope that you enjoy the show anyway.

The set list for this week’s show is posted here. All previous show set lists are on my blog.

Until Next Time:
