Liner Notes:
Here are some shows I’m hustling at Balliceaux this week.
At the risk of flogging a dead horse, I am once again imploring each and every one of you to see Kings Go Forth tonight (Mr. Felty, DJ Pari & and Mike Murphy will be spinning tunes as well). Their new album, ”The Outsiders Are Back” (Luaka Bop) drops tomorrow and this is your chance to brag to future generations that you saw them before they hit the big time. And I’m not kidding either. They are amazing. Also on the amazing tip is the one and only, Amazing Ghost bringing in 4/20 right with their signature 80’s pop mutations for the here and now party generation. On Thursday, the Brazilian bossa nova, pagode and sambinha musical splendor of Quatro Na Bossa sets the tone for romance as only they can muster. Performing original music inspired by tango, klezmer, zydeco, oriental and the blues, The Happy Lucky Combo get the joint rockin’ on Friday and No Richmond spins classic post-punk goodness (and beyond) on Saturday. To bring the musical week to a rousing close, the sublime instrumental meditations of Bossa Brasil instill the proper Sunday mindset to face another week of work.
Oh, and next week will be my 100th hour on RVA News.
NEXT NEW SHOW: 04/26/10
The complete set list for this week’s show is posted here. All previous show set lists (99 as of this writing) are on my blog. If you hate MySpace (and who doesn’t), look me up on Facebook. I post track listings there as well.
2 hours of Bopst Show programming airs Sundays at it’s new time, 12-2PM (EST-USA), on KAOS Radio Austin.
Until Next Time:

Barf!!! I was hoping the video would end with some ironic slap of her face.
Did you see Tina Fey a few weeks ago on SNL. Playing Sarah Palin, she is pitching her own network. It is hilarious. Lines like “ever since I won the Silver Medal in the Vice Presidential Race”, make it worth watching.
