Liner Notes:
All right. Here is your chance to win 100 bucks.
Starting off this week’s show is an audio college I pieced together using personal ads found on April Winchell’s wondrous site mixed with various musical edits & sound effects. Here’s the deal. If you can name all the different groups and artists I used in the opening montage, I, Christopher Maynard Bopst, host of The Bopst Show, will give you $100. I do this because I seriously doubt anyone will actually be able to do it. Dumber things have happened I realize, but still. The chances are infinitesimal that I will actually have to pay anyone.
Prove me wrong though and I’ll be more than happy to hand over the dough.
Some of the music used should immediately ring some bells, but I tend to have no idea what people consider easy to identify when it comes to music. I just assume they don’t listen to The Dave Matthews Band and hope for the best. There are a total of 10 segments. If someone can actually name 8 or 9 of them (including song titles), I might (emphasis on, “might”) be tempted to give them the money, but I’m not promising anything.
List your answers here. You have until 12/03/18 to render your submissions and payment will be made to the first person to correctly identify all 10 music edits in their post.
I can’t say that I will wish you luck because I really don’t want to give you the money, but, as I said before, I will pay up if and when a correct submission is posted.
Here are some shows I’m helping to put on at Balliceaux this week.
DJ Doddie is back for his every other Monday gig. On Tuesday, Bio Ritmo kicks out the jams. Both shows are free. 21 & over.
NEXT NEW SHOW: 3/01/10
The complete set list for this week’s show is posted here. All previous show set lists (92 as of this writing) are on my blog. If you hate MySpace (and who doesn’t), look me up on Facebook. I post track listings there as well.
2 hours of Bopst Show programming airs Sundays, 10AM-12PM (EST-USA), on KAOS Radio Austin.
Until Next Time:
