Sprout holding benefit for sustainable agriculture documentary

From the press release:

Sprout Market and Cafe is holding a benefit for the Virginia Sustainable Agriculture Documentary Project (VASDAP) from 6-10pm on Monday, November 15. Sprout sources its food from local growers, including some featured in VASADP, a photographic documentary of local and sustainable food production in central Virginia.

In addition to great local food, there will also be live music throughout the evening. From 6-8, Richmond’s Susannah and Chandler will play old-time American music on guitar and fiddle — familiar sounds to those who have heard the duo performing at area farmers markets. From 8-10, singer-songwriter Gina Sobel will perform her unique blend of soulful blues, earthy folk and rhythmic jazz. Sobel, based in Charlottesville, is also a member of American-fusion band, the Rock River Gypsies.

Sprout says that 10% of food sales from this event will go to the Kickstarter campaign to publish the Virginia Sustainable Agriculture Documentary Project book. Pledges will also be accepted throughout the event.
