New Moms’ Morning Out summer program

Registration is open for a new Mom’s Morning Out summer program at Ginter Park United Methodist Church in the Northside.

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of Richmond-area parents weeping as local preschools begin to wind down for the summer. But fear not, mamas and papas! Ginter Park United Methodist Church (GPUMC) has a new program in the works to help make your summertime mornings a little less chaotic.

GPUMC’s Moms’1 Morning Out Summer Camp is for kids ages one through four and promises lots of science exploration, crafts, games, and playtime in a safe and nurturing environment. The program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at GPUMC (1010 W. Laburnum Avenue). Classes begin June 2nd and run all the way through August 18th–that’s a huge chunk of the summer, folks.

The cost is $85 a month if your kid attends one day per week or $160 a month if your kid attends two days per week. For more information call 804.262.8651 or visit ginterparkumc.org.

  1. I know, I know. That’s just what these programs are usually called, right or wrong. I’m sure dads are welcome to go out, too.
