Homeschooling conference: “Launching Lifelong Learners”

The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers 2015 Conference and Resource Fair will take place March 20th and 21st at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen.

The Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers is all set to host its 2015 Conference and Resource Fair on March 20th and 21st at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. The theme for this year’s conference is “Launching Lifelong Learners” and will include a keynote address from Blake Boles, the director of Unschool Adventures and the author of The Art of Self-Directed Learning, Better Than College, and College Without High School. Carlita Boyles, founder of Math on Level, will also serve as a featured speaker.

The conference offers sessions on everything from developing organizational skills to incorporating the outdoors into lesson to navigating the college application process, but here are a few specific examples to wet your whistle…

Registration prices vary depending on how many sessions you plan to attend (and prices go up after March 6th) so visit vahomeschoolers.org for details. The conference kicks off at 1:00 PM on Friday the 20th. The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen is located at 10601 Telegraph Road.
