As if the Children’s Museum of Richmond weren’t already The Place To Be for the elementary set! Those crazy lovers-of-learning will take things to the next level on select Saturdays in June, July, and August with their Summer Series, an annual event featuring theme parties, appearances from your kids’ favorite characters–all kinds of stuff that’s sure to blow Richmond’s tiniest minds. Even better, each Summer Series event is included with museum admission. Thanks, CMoR!

June 13th: Thomas & Friends

Thomas the Tank Engine and his chugalugging friends will kick things off with a sing-along adventure that is “perfect for even the smallest Thomas fan.” Thomas & Friends will perform at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.

July 11th: Moonbounce Mania

It’s exactly what you think, and your kids will love it.

July 18th: Spider-Man & Friends

Spidey joins forces with several Marvel friends for a very special performance. Show times are TBD, so be sure to check back on the CMoR website. And a heads up: if this is the same Spider-Man show they’ve done the last couple years, it’s best for kids around 4 and up.

July 25th: Christmas in July

We all know it’s going to be blazing hot come July, so a day spent eating snow cones, making holiday crafts, and visiting with the Snow Queen will feel SO GOOD.

August 15th: Pirates & Princesses

I’m not sure if pirates and princesses typically hang out, but let’s go with it. Slip on that tiara or that scary pirate costume and join in on the swanky/sea-loving fun. Or maybe wear the tiara with the pirate costume and really go nuts.

August 22nd: Animal Day

And as the grande finale, all kinds of live animals will be on hand for the kids to, well, put their hands on.
