You can find owner Eric Spivack brewing on E. Cary Street between 9th and 10th streets Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Drip coffee as well as hot and iced espresso will be offered. Spivak is a firm believer in letting the beans speak for themselves, so you won’t find any pumpkin spice or shots of skinny vanilla at his coffee stop. Espresso beans will be provided by Richmond’s own Blanchard’s Coffee, and other supplies will be from Counter Culture Coffee out of North Carolina.

— ∮∮∮ —

Chef Patrick Harris, the owner of Boka Truck, famous for its fusion “takos,” will soon be seen around town serving pizza from a food cart. No catchy name has been released, and the only detail is that the cart will serve up gourmet pizzas and other delights. The press release states that “The developing menu will feature extraordinary pizza choices that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else.” Facebook and Twitter accounts are currently being worked on that will let diners know the cart’s location on a day-to-day basis.

— ∮∮∮ —

The Roosevelt got some great press in the December/January issue of Garden & Gun, which is on newsstands now. John T. Edge does a full profile on the restaurant with some special love for the Southern poutine and the foie gras poundcake

— ∮∮∮ —

According to Style Weekly, Avenue 805 is now open for lunch...again! They’ll open on weekdays from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM serving up sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta, and large plate entrees. Avenue 805 is located at 805 N. Davis Avenue in the Fan.
