Well hello there, November. Where did you come from? And what lovely events you've got for us this weekend!

1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Thursday, November 5th, 7:30pm, Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh Street, $27-$58. Go here to learn more and to purchase tickets.

2. First LEGO® League Central Virginia Qualifying Tournament

Oh. My. Gosh. If I were between the ages of 9 and 14 I would be SO there. Here's the deal: more than 300 teams of kids from all over the state get together and build... wait for it... robots. Did you hear me? ROBOTS. Saturday, November 7th, 10am to 4pm, Science Museum of Virginia in the Thalhimer Pavilion, 2500 W. Broad Street. See admission costs here.

3. 10th Annual Brunswick Stew Festival

If you're looking for the absolute best way to spend a fall afternoon in Richmond, this just might be it. Stew, bluegrass music, a downtown setting... sigh. Saturday, November 7th, 11am to 5pm, 17th Street Farmer's Market. Free to get in. Taste samples from the stew masters will be available for purchase from 11am to 1pm. Larger-sized containers will be available to the general public after 1pm.

4. Ruby's Run

It's hard to believe that it's been almost four years since Richmond lost the Harvey Family. Let's remember them well with the 4th Annual Ruby's Run, a wonderful event held in honor of the littlest Harvey with funds going towards a scholarship fund for preschoolers in downtown Richmond. The race is open for kids ages 4 to 10, and kids 11 and up are welcome to volunteer. Sunday, November 8th, 1pm, Carillon Grounds by Dogwood Dell in Byrd Park, $5 entry free and donations are welcome. 5. Kristallnacht and Beyond

This film follows Holocaust survivor Alex Lebenstein on his trip back to Germany. Sure to be very heavy stuff, but clearly well worth your time. Mr. Lebenstein will also be on hand to answer questions and sign copies of his book The Gazebo. Monday, November 9th, 7pm, Virginia Holocaust Museum, 2000 E. Cary Street, free.
