I thought the dialogue in the Happening was hilariously stupid, but i feel like it was purposeful, or it least it felt that way to me. I think everyone needs to see Manos: Hands of Fate. It makes every movie seem instantly INCREDIBLE! What were you expecting? Did MNS slyly cast himself in the picture as one of the trees or a train conductor or something? The last of his movies I saw was "The Village" and when he appeared in the reflection of a spoon I though I would lose it, as if we were supposed to be excited that he made a cameo.
