The Daily picked as Best Restaurant by GRACRE

I once was looking at snowboards in this building, yesterday I had blackened mahi.

Greater Richmond Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) held their annual award ceremony to celebrate innovation and excellence in, you guessed it, commercial real estate. The awards ended up being spread throughout the city and The Daily won for Best Restaurant. Full list of winners at the first link.

Best Restaurant – The Daily Kitchen & Bar

The former Glass & Powder Board Shop occupied the first floor in what had been, prior to 1935, two town houses. In about 1935, the building was altered, creating a street front addition, joining the two first floor spaces, severing and abandoning the houses’ second floors.

The building owners, the Richmond Restaurant Group’s Jared Golden, Michelle Williams, and Ted Wallof, accepted the challenge to revitalize this property into a pedestrian-engaging corner of Carytown.
