The Cultured Swine food cart grand opening today

I’m intrigued by Korean-style Bool Gogi beef, served with a Kim Chi/salsa hybrid.

Another food cart has hit our area and they’re serving up down near Brown’s Island. The Cultured Swine features Chef Corey Johnson who previously has worked at Alamo BBQ, the Boathouse and Sticky Rice.

The menu promises tacos, tamales, and BBQ. At first glance it’s looking pretty tasty and includes:

  • GO GO GOGI – Korean-style Bool Gogi beef, served with a Kim Chi/salsa hybrid.
    1 Taco/2 Tacos   3.75/7    Sandwich  7
  • PIG IN A PONCHO – Not-quite-traditional Mexican-style pork and potato tamale with pepper sauce.
    1 Tamale/2 Tamales  3.25/6
  • TARHEEL SPECIAL – North Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich topped with Swine sauce and coleslaw on an egg-washed white bun from a local bakery.
    1 Taco/2 Tacos 3.25/6 Sandwich 6

In honor of the grand opening they’re giving you a deal on tamales.

It’s our grand opening, and we’ve got our full menu of tacos, tamales and BBQ. Hold on to your butts, ’cause all tamales are $2.50 all week!

Come on down to the American Civil War Museum on Brown’s Island and get crazy with it, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
