WHAT DOES YOUR START-UP BUSINESS DO?

At Tenant Turner, we help rental property owners and managers fill vacancies fast with high quality tenants. We attract quality rental applicants, screen for better tenants, and provide a platform to manage the landlord / tenant relationship once a lease is signed. In short, we reduce the length of a vacancy which means more rent in your pocket and we provide quality tenants which decreases the likelihood of having to evict a bad tenant.

HOW DID YOUR VENTURE START?

Kelly, a novice landlord and early adopter said, “We need somebody to help us figure out how to be a landlord! Your product spoke our language and gave us everything we need.” When our three founders became first-time landlords in the mid-2000s, we didn’t have anything to teach us “how to be a landlord” so we figured it out the hard way. In doing so we created a software as a service (SaaS) solution that takes the guesswork out of leasing a rental property.

HOW WILL YOU USE THE $10,000 CASH PRIZE TO HELP YOUR START-UP?

Marketing, marketing, marketing! We’ve tested the product with enough beta customers and now it’s time to start getting the word out about Tenant Turner. For starters, we would use the money to buy mailing lists of absentee owners and create a direct mail campaign, pay for booth space at real estate investor conferences, and create marketing collateral for Realtors to share with their clients who buy investment properties.
