Suspicious package found on Shady Grove Road deemed harmless
A device with wires attached was found in a neighborhood near Twin Hickory.
On Wednesday, March 18th shortly before 4:00 PM, Henrico Police responded to the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Mason Park Way near the Twin Hickory community.
A landscaping crew found a suspicious item along a fence line on Shady Grove Road. The unidentified device contained wires, was approximately two inches long, and appeared to have been at that location for several months, according to authorities.
A member of the Henrico Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit responded, examined the item, and found it to be safe. No word on what it actually was.
