Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival this weekend; volunteers needed

Volunteers will learn to pour the perfect beer, and enjoy some brews on the house as well.

The Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival is back this Saturday, and bigger than ever.

This year’s additions include a free Family Movie Night at 6:00 PM at the nearby Bon Secours Redskins Training Camp and a private VIP themed “Kings Landing, Gourd Lords and Ladys” area from 12:00 – 6:00 PM.

Less than 200 VIP tickets area available to the public. Admission includes two private beer or seasonal wine tickets and a catered lunch from Iron Horse Restaurant from 1:00-3:00 PM.

The lunch menu includes Roasted Pork BBQ on Pumpkin Yeast Roll, Cranberry Apple Coleslaw with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Candied Bacon Baked Beans with maple syrup and Jamaican Rum, and Mac & Cheese with a parmesan panko topping. Dessert will be provided by Red Eye Cookie Company. The first 30 VIP attendees will receive a limited edition Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival tee.

In addition to the new features, patrons can enjoy food and drink from a variety of Boulevard area restaurants and other vendors, arts and crafts for purchase, live music, and beer-a-plenty.

Volunteers are still needed for the festival as well. Volunteers will pour beer and help with other festival tasks.

All volunteers will receive two complimentary beverage tickets and a limited edition festival tee.

A training session for volunteers will be held at Ardent Craft Ales at 6:00 PM on Thursday, where organizers will train everyone on beer pouring techniques. One complimentary drink will be provided to all in attendance that evening. To sign up, fill out the volunteer signup form here.
