VCU Jazz Prof. Bob Hallahan will be performing SAT 2/9 from 8-11p at Infuzion Bistro and Lounge, 1401 Roseneath Road (two blocks north of Broad, in a renovated 1940s-era warehouse), with bassist/alumnus Randall Pharr and VCU Jazz alumnus Aaron Binder on drums. On Tuesdays from 8-10pm, Hallahan also performs in a duo format with VCU Jazz Guitar Prof. Adam Larrabee.

The lounge shares the building with a dance club and the country's first "ice bar," a trendy walk-in freezer where they hand you a winter coat and you drink cold beverages around a bar made of ice. Supposedly those two areas are sound-insulated from the lounge where the performances are held. The lounge is open Tuesday through Saturday and features live music about 4 nights a week.

Admission is limited to ages 21 and up. Rumor is there is no cover charge; however, the web site and phone number provide no confirmation on this. For more information, visit or call 249-COOL.

[where: 1401 Roseneath Rd., Richmond, VA 23230]

Ho there, reader of RSS feeds!
