Libbie Mill named project of the year by local commercial real estate association

The mixed-use project on Staples Mill Road is the home of Southern Season, among other tenants.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Libbie Mill-Midtown, a mixed-use community under development by Gumenick Properties, won the 2015 Project of the Year Tuesday night from the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate.

The $434 million project on 79.5 acres along Staples Mill Road is the largest revitalization project in the 400-year history of Henrico County.

A total of 15 real estate awards were presented at the association’s 14th annual awards ceremony at The Country Club of Virginia.

The scale and size of the project–not to mention the price tag–dwarfs that of West Broad Village, an earlier mixed use development in Short Pump that is nearing full buildout.
