Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center is GRACRE Project of the Year

VCU Academic Learning Commons wins Best Public Space

Greater Richmond Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) held their annual award ceremony to celebrate innovation and excellence in, you guessed it, commercial real estate. The awards ended up being spread throughout the city and our area we took home two, Best Public Space and Project of the Year (seen above). Full list of winners at the first link.

Project of the Year – Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center

The Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center nearly defies a brief summary. It is a landmark project for Richmond that involved an innovative economic development strategy, a complex public-private partnership, a challenging budget, and an extremely ambitious schedule. The project also included a unique site development concept, a responsive design serving a long list of stakeholders, and an unusual, multi-jurisdictional approval process. In short, this project had nearly every imaginable moving part, and its broad success has provided momentum for multiple projects around the city.
