Unfortunately no. Short films aren't normally released widely on DVD, but you can get the one that I'm assuming will win, since it was released with a number of other short films in one volume. Go to!!

All joking aside (all of it. ALL OF IT), I actually thoroughly enjoyed Transformers, and if I were 16 again, I would have pictures of Shia LeBeouf plastered all over my wall. There were some damn funny parts.

Jazz, the African-American robot: "You want a piece of me?"
Bad guy whatever his name is (Megatron? Metatron? Megadeth? Meghan?): "No, I want TWO pieces!"

Susan, these are all good predictions; however you should wait until all my write-in ballots for Transformers get counted for Best Picture...

PS- Yes, strangers who are entirely unaffiliated with the Academy are allowed to write in votes for their favorite films featuring giant fighting robots.

PPS- Did anyone see at the end of that movie? They were doing it on top of Bumblebee!! WTF

I'm tired of Cate Blanchett and her nominations for everything she does. WE GET IT. Go sit down, as my coworkers would say.

Oh, I guess that's that then.

"On January 21, 2008, however, the [There Will Be Blood] score was declared ineligible for an Academy Award nomination under a rule that prohibited 'scores diluted by the use of tracked themes or other pre-existing music.'"

I think There Will Be Blood had an incredible score and was frankly shocked that it didn't get nominated. I thought I was reading things wrong. And it's not like I was a particular evangelist for that movie or for Radiohead.

Also, Sari's Mother will win because it's about a MOTHER caring for a CHILD who is DYING of AIDS in IRAQ. And they're probably POOR. The more social injustices you can combine into one single movie, the more oscar votes you get these days.

I left some stuff out, obviously. I was cranky and my allergies were bothering me, and I couldn't bring myself to do research on foreign short films.
