I spoke with Jeff Allums, managing partner at Baja Bean, a short while ago. He confirmed that The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will be filming at their location in the Fan tomorrow evening.

Jeff said that a Daily Show producer called the restaurant and explained that they would like to interview customers about President Obama’s appearance in the city, which will take place earlier Saturday afternoon. As the President will be speaking on Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican restaurant was chosen to tie-in the holiday with his appearance.

The Daily Show is expected to arrive around 6pm tomorrow, Saturday, May 5th. Baja Bean is located at 1520 W. Main Street.

  1. I hope RVA News and Nathan Cushing in particular will raise critical questions about Obama.

For example, concerning Obama’s crimes against the Constitution:

Obama “has accumulated his own massive list of high crimes and misdemeanors…”

Also happening tonight, at 7PM: Retired US Army Col. Mary Ann Wright–a career Foreign Service officer who “resigned from the State Department [in March 2003] in protest over several foreign and domestic Bush administration policies”–and Medea Benjamin will be speaking at an event by the Defenders taking place at the William Byrd Community House.
