Plymouth Fife and Drum Corp marching into St. Johns Church

Performance is part of a 10 day tour of historical sites.

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps are an all youth Corps of students ranging in age from 12 – 18. They’re an elite, precision marching fife and drum corps. Their sharp looking outfits are recreations of the Commander in Chief’s personal Life Guard of 1776-1783. Life Guard had the honor of protecting General Georges Washington and those important documents he had on his person.

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps will be presenting a performance and reenactment on August, 7th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at St. Johns Church (2404 E. Broad Street).

The youth corps from Plymouth, Michigan will be traveling throughout Virginia and will make a special stop to perform at St. John’s Church, followed by a public reenactment.

5:30 Church doors open (gates will be open all day)
6:00 Event begins with Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps. No late admittance to church.
6:30 Reenactment of Second VA Convention
7:15 Actors ‘meet and greet’ on the yard
7:30 Youth corps ‘meet and greet’ on the yard

This event is FREE, with a suggested donation of $5.00

Kona Ice will be on site with delicious Hawaiian Shaved Ice for sale. 20% of proceeds benefit St. John’s Church Foundation.
