John Hughes, we won’t forget about you

John Hughes, the man behind such 80s cinematic gems as “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” and “Pretty in Pink” (among so many others) passed away today at age 59. He was taking a stroll through Manhattan when he had a heart attack.

John Hughes, the man behind such 80s cinematic gems as “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” and “Pretty in Pink” (among so many others) passed away today at age 59. He was taking a stroll through Manhattan when he had a heart attack.

The film world didn’t hear much from Hughes once we got through the 90s, but the contributions he made in the 80s equipped an entire generation (and then some) with enough movie quotes and moments to last, well, FOREVER.
