Calling for art to adorn the Brown’s Island Dam Walk and the Southbank

Submissions are due by September 5th.

Please don’t grab your mixed media piece of a T-rex serving a latte to Ronald McDonald and head to the James. There is a process that must be followed and it could include a budget of up to $200,000.

All the details are here but the Public Art Commission is looking for certain themes.

  • Enhance the natural elements of the James River
  • Create a destination or gathering place to draw people to the James River
  • Stimulate thought, conversation, and creativity for viewers
