The TD is reporting that VCU made 37 exceptions for Chief Rodney Monroe in awarding him his Bachelor’s degree last year.
37. 3 tens and 7 ones. I’m no higher educator, but that seems a bit excessive.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? Hmmmm.
You pull up to the drive through, pay you $100 and get your degree?
I wonder what the degree “special of the week” is?

Mr. Monroe has proven to be a poor excuse of a man. He signed an application to VCU for his Bachelor’s degree stating that he had taken and passed 25 percent of the required courses at VCU. He had not. That is wrong whether the University wishes to admit it or not. I know it was wrong, you know it was wrong, and lets hope like heck that a Chief of Police would know that was wrong. It appears maybe Mr. Monroe is not capable of earning a degree on his own. Did anyone check to see if he has a legitimate High School Diploma, or did someone buy that for him too.

I also suggest checking Richmond crime stats. While we have seen some decline, I would not be surprised if there has been some deliberate under reporting of local crimes.

VCU should pull his degree. That would end the controversy, and is a no-brainer. Then, Monroe can apply to get his degree from the school where he took 95% of his classes – University of Phoenix Online.
