Economic stimulus “package”

You’ve probably seen this already, but this article contains a chart that lets you know when your money will show up in your mailbox/bank account.

Also, in case you heard this bogus story on NPR, do not panic (like I did). It was an April Fool’s joke that at least one avid Marketplace fan DID NOT FIND AMUSING.

I wonder if I will get 1 check for my wife, my child, and me or if it will be split up into 3 checks?

Yeah, you’ll get a couple of hundred dollars back when it costs thousands more to live…

My husband and I got a whopping $649 from our stimulus package . We made 50K before taxes last year combined (even though we both work full time and I go to school full time). We were expecting $1,200, now that we are $551 short we are going to have to go without some necessities. (My husband had already purchased some tools for his trade, thinking we were goin to be getting the full amount promised to us - now that we are short we are worse off than ever.)

Neither my husband nor I has received a raise this year and times are really tough. I cannot believe the government has the gull to say that $649 is going to stimulate anything. We live in California where gas has already reached $4 a gallon. The $649 is going to gas and food - not a flat screen or new vehicle. If the government really wants to help Americans they should end the occupation in Iraq and ban large corporations from sending our jobs overseas!

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer…at least Jenna Bush has a totally fabulous wedding coming up - I for one am willing to go to bed hungry so that she can have anything her little heart desires!!!! Nothing better to boost the moral of the nation than a gluttonous celebration by the princess. UGH!

Got something to say?
