revisiting the Richmond Free Press

Back in July, the Richmond Free Press caught some flack for their weak attempt at getting their news online. Since then, though, they’ve updated their site so that the entire current issue is online. You can get either of their smallish sections as a PDF, which allows them to include their advertisements and everything else. It really works.

This is a *great* move, which leaves me three requests: 1) an archive of back issues (or at least archive everything going forward), 2) which is searchable, 3) and allows people to link to specific issues in the archive.

    Finally!!

I’ve been waiting about two years to be able to read their paper online. If only they’d work with some local webdesign/development firm to get a real website!

Now if they would only print some real news and oh yes, stop using the word “white” as a pejorative.

Got something to say?
